An internship with FES Budapest

We encourage students in higher semesters of relevant subject areas to apply for an internship.

At the moment, we offer two internship positions: Firstly, you can apply for our socio-political project in Hungary. This provides the opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of the work of a German political foundation in Hungary, and to gain a deeper insight into the political and social culture of Hungary. The main topics are on the EU, economic and social policy, trade union support, and civil society as well as gender equality.

Secondly, you can apply for our transregional project "Flight, Migration, Integration in Europe". The focus is on the latest developments in European migration policy, the exchange of integration concepts, and network activities with other migration projects in Europe. In this project, the internship is already allocated until December 2019. Therefore we can only consider applications for the period from December 2019.

Both internships include individual mentoring support:

  • Editing of German and English-language texts
  • working with visitors; answering inquiries from Germany and Hungary, internet research on selected topics
  • preparation, implementation and follow-up of FES and partner events
  • Diverse clerical tasks

For communication, we expect very good both spoken and written German and English skills. Hungarian language skills are an advantage.

In any case, the applicants should have an interest in the work of a social-democratic, political foundation, commitment, organization, and work in team spirit. We also expect you to work reliably and independently. We require excellent PC knowledge and correct written expression.

We offer these internships for two to three months.
